The Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser emits specific wavelengths of light in high energy, which are absorbed by the pigment and this disperses the pigment into particles, breaking them into very small fragments. Most fragments will be immediately removed from the skin, other fragments will split even further into minute particles which will eventually be absorbed by phagocytes and ultimately get expelled by the natural lymphatic system.

 

How does it work?

– Wear comfortable clothes for the appointment.
– Apply numbing cream (can be bought over-the-counter), over the tattoo area, at least 45 minutes prior to your appointment.
– Treatment duration will depend on the size of the tattoo, anywhere between 15-30 minutes.
– Aftercare advice will be provided.
– You will need to wear SPF 50 after tattoo removal, as the skin will be sensitive and needs to be protected from the harmful sun rays.
– You will need multiple sessions, between 3 – 8 sessions, to have satisfactory results.
